Celery Juice for Mental Illness

One of the tools that has been absolutely essential to my healing from mental illness is juicing at least 16 oz of pure, straight celery juice (with nothing added) on an empty stomach every morning, which I learned from the Medical Medium.  I have been doing this for about 4 years now and I feel restored.  As Anthony William the Medical Medium explains in his new book, Medical Medium Celery Juice: The Most Powerful Medicine of Our Time Healing Millions Worldwide, the undiscovered sodium cluster salts in celery juice help rebuild neurotransmitter chemicals, knock down viral loads (viruses that excrete neurotoxins that damage our nervous system), provide a complete electrolyte, help heal the adrenals, restore our stomach acids and strengthen our digestion, flush the liver of toxins, and much more!

When I juice celery every morning, it feels like my nervous system is strengthened, like my nerves are no longer “frayed”.  It helps me to feel grounded, so that I am more present at work, with my daily tasks, and with the people around me.  It’s amazing!  The celery juice must be at least 16 oz, straight celery juice with nothing added (not even water), and should be juiced fresh and taken on an empty stomach.  The juicer that I have used for years is relatively inexpensive and made by Breville.  There is one available on Amazon here:

If you can afford a little more, the Omega Juicer is the best juicer available for juicing celery:

I know that mental illness can be devastating to a person’s resources.  I was on disability for eight years, lived in subsidized housing, and even had to live in a group home at one point (where I was unable to buy my own food).  It’s not easy.  It causes us to have to sacrifice.  I was unable to buy many things that I wanted or do many things that I wanted.  However, I always tried to eat as healthy as I could, within whatever means I had.  I didn’t buy new clothes, but I bought healthy food whenever possible.  I know celery is not cheap.  One bunch per day which makes about 16 oz of juice can be up to $4 or more.  However, this is hope for healing, and something to work for.  Maybe it can replace another habit over time, like drinking soda pop, or smoking cigarettes.  Saving up for a juicer can be a goal to work for, which can be motivating for us.

The truth is, each and every one of us must make the best of whatever resources we have, with whatever strengths and abilities we have.  Every little bit of positive action towards our health helps.  We do what we can every day, little by little, and over time positive changes start to build.  I have found it to be excruciatingly painful, but blessings and miracles that I have witnessed along the way make the journey wonderful as well.  It’s a long journey, and we don’t always understand it, but when we have faith and take one day at a time, we can move forward.

If you’d like to learn more about the healing power of celery juice, you can get the book here:

You can also request the book at your local library.

If you’d like to learn more about my journey, please feel free to read through my blog posts on this website, and listen to the podcast episodes.  While each of our journeys will likely be unique, you may be able to glimpse some insights from what I’ve been through, that may help you along the way.

I know how hard it is, but I also know it’s possible to heal.  I’m in it with you, for the long haul.  We can move forward together, little by little, day by day.  I wish you the very best on your journey.  May God bless you always!

Warm Regards,

Joshua

  1. Thanks for providing all these details about including celery juice in my diet to improve my mental health. It is a coincidence that I had a friend give me a juicer recently so I could actually do this on my own. I am becoming more and more conscious of how my diet impacts my mood. Recently, I ask for a peach green tea at Starbucks and there was so much sweetner in it, I couldn’t finish it. It seems as though companies put more and more sugar and syrup in everything you buy and it just makes you sick and uncomfortable. Any food you buy in a box is usually full of junk. I am becoming more and more aware of that. Anyway, thanks for the advice for today and the encouragement to eat more responsibly for my mental health.

    1. You’re very welcome! I hope that juicing celery is as revolutionary for you as it has been for me. I wish you the very best.
