My name is Joshua. In 2002 I graduated from Cornell University, and up until that point, it was the hardest thing I had ever done. In 2003, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, and the years to come would be much harder.
I spent the next 10 years in and out of hospitals, going from job-to-job, living on Social Security disability (and in low-income housing at one point), and suffering more than I knew was possible. It made me long for my days at Cornell, which were like adult sleep-away camp in comparison.
In 2013, I began working with a Naturopathic doctor who specializes in treating mental illness with homeopathy, after my girlfriend at the time (who is now my wife), found his website. Since then I have fully recovered, healed, and am living a normal life.
I am building this website to share my story, in the hopes that it will help other people who are suffering with schizoaffective disorder, and other mental illnesses as well. I will also be providing valuable resources that were and are helpful to me, and that may be useful to you as well in your recovery process.
I wish you the best on your healing journey!
