If I had to go through mental illness all over again and could give my younger self an action plan for recovery, knowing what I know now these would be the steps that I would take:

Step 1 – Read Healing Mental Illness: Lessons Learned in the Trenches.

Step 2 – Start drinking Celery Juice every day.

Step 3 – Clean up your diet:

  • Remove eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, corn, canola, natural flavors (and any kind of “flavors” or “flavoring”), as well as pork and all pork products (such as ham, bacon, sausage, etc.) from your diet.
  • Bring in more fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens (as many as you want).
  • Lower fat intake, including nuts, seeds & oils (and reduce any animal protein consumption to no more than once per day).

Step 4 – Listen to the Medical Medium Radio show about Celery Juice & Toxic Heavy Metals:

Step 5 – Starting drinking the Medical Medium Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie everyday.

Step 6 – Implement a regular exercise routine (such as yoga, martial arts, walking/hiking/jogging, biking, swimming, or any other form of movement that you enjoy (or combination thereof) that you can do regularly 3-5 days a week).

Step 7 – Start taking some of the Medical Medium recommended supplements.

Step 8 – Read one or more of the Medical Medium books to learn more information and help stay inspired and on the path:

Step 9 – Make sure that you’re engaged with communities of people that you can be in the same room with, whether that be at church, work, social events, exercise clubs, etc.).

Step 10 – Pray to God every day and ask for help!  Be honest with God and with yourself.  Seek the truth.  Have faith, and know that healing is possible!
